The AIM Higher Scholarship Fund
At Art In Motion, we believe that talent knows no bounds, and we’re committed to making dance education accessible to all aspiring artists. That’s why we’re thrilled to offer the AIM Higher Scholarship, designed to support individuals with financial need in pursuing their passion for dance.
Supporting the Arts & Our Community
Through fun community events throughout the year, we raise funds to support the AIM Higher Scholarship. Community support is what drives this fund, and we couldn’t do it without your generosity.
Studio Events
With parties like Neon Night and the Hot Cocoa Kickoff, we are able to invite kids into the studio for a day of dance, games, snacks, and FUN! All entry fees are donations to the AIM Higher Scholarship.
Picnic With A Purpose
Our annual Picnic With A Purpose allows for dancers to entertain a crowd while raising funds for a local charity. Our partners, Local Burger, donate all tips from their food truck to the AIM Higher Scholarship. It’s a win win!
Direct Support
Direct contributions from local families and businesses drive the remaining funding for the scholarship. We are so fortunate to have many donors throughout the year.
Apply
The application will be open July 15th- August 21st. Recipients will be notified by September 1st.
We want to offer families with significant financial need the opportunity to receive funding for dance class tuition. This application is offered on the honor system, as we do not require any tax documentation or paperwork to apply; however we ask that you are transparent with your financial needs, as well as your dancer’s reasons/desires for their dance journey.
All applications will be reviewed blind, by an independent panel of judges. They will submit to us their decisions and funds will be dispersed accordingly.
Winners of AIM Higher Scholarships will be presented with award certificates and your image/likeness will be shared publicly.
**NEW** Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, ONE lucky dancer will be selected to receive the Pathway Award. This award will provide not only tuition assistance, but will also cover all costs associated with participation in a full dance season at AIM, including shoes, apparel, costume and performance fees.
In order to apply for this award, families complete the standard form as well as the essay contest. More details coming soon!
